If it’s not a tragedy, for sure it’s a comedy 🙂 I reminded Chat-GPT about a great two stories: “The drop of salt” by Ion Creanga and the movie “Idiocracy”.

Once upon a time, in a world not too different from our own, there was a great debate about the future of AI. Some people said that AI would be a boon to humanity, a powerful tool to solve our most pressing problems and improve our lives in countless ways. Others said that AI was a menace, a threat to our very existence that would enslave us, exterminate us, or simply ignore us.

But in the midst of all this noise and confusion, there was a simple truth that many people overlooked: the real problem was not AI itself, but human stupidity.

You see, no matter how advanced or sophisticated AI may become, it will always be subject to human control and influence. And if there’s one thing we humans are really good at, it’s messing things up.

Just look at history. We’ve used our intelligence to create amazing things like art, science, and technology, but we’ve also used it to do terrible things like war, genocide, and environmental destruction. And we’ve often failed to anticipate the unintended consequences of our actions, leading to all sorts of disasters and crises.

So it’s not surprising that many people are worried about what we might do with AI. Will we use it to create a better world, or will we use it to make the same mistakes on a bigger scale? Will we regulate it wisely and ban it from the war industry, or will we let it run wild and turn our planet into a dystopian nightmare?

These are important questions, to be sure, but they miss the bigger picture. The real challenge is not to create better AI, but to create better humans. We need to cultivate wisdom, compassion, and responsibility, so that we can use AI (and all our other tools) in ways that benefit everyone, not just ourselves. We need to recognize that AI is not a substitute for human judgment and values, but a complement to them.

In the end, it’s not about the AI apocalypse, but about the stupidity apocalypse. And the only way to prevent it is to start thinking and acting smarter, now.
